What is Sculpting?
Sculpting is a procedure that involves the delivery of microcurrent into the face and body through specially designed conducting wands that are applied at specific acupuncture points. This microcurrent is nearly identical to the electrical current the body produces. It is therefore physiologic, safe and free from harmful side effects.
What results can I expect from Facial or Body Sculpting?
Facial Sculpting is like exercise for your face. In much the same way as regular exercise tones the body and strengthens muscles, sculpting works to tone and strengthen facial muscles, providing lift and tightening. The resulting "facelift" is similar to a surgical lift, but without the surgery, the downtime, or the expense. Sculpting naturally stimulates the production of collagen, elastin fibers and ATP (cell building blocks), as well as increases blood circulation and lymphatic drainage. It also improves skin tone and coloration, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and firms sagging areas of the face and body. Everyone with aging problems gets age-defying results.
How fast will I see these results?
Much like an exercise program for the body, improvements to your face accumulate with each Facial Sculpting session. We recommend two treatments a week for 5 weeks (10 sessions) to achieve maximum improvement. Once your facial "memory" has been retrained, you may come in for "booster" treatments at 6 to 10 week intervals for reinforcement.
What is the treatment like?
The experience is described as wonderfully relaxing and euphoric, and involves no pain or discomfort. The results are described as remarkable. Allow about an hour for each session; booster treatments are generally only 30-40 minutes.
What age range is this treatment suited for?
Sculpting is recommended for adult clients of all ages, since it preserves and maintains the youthful elements of younger clients, and acts as a rejuvenating treatment for older clients.
How is microcurrent used for cosmetic treatment and why is it so effective?
The short answer: As we age, our body loses much of its natural electrical energy, much like a battery gradually losing its charge. On a cellular level, this leads to a breakdown of collagen and elastin in our skin, which leads to sagging and unevenness of texture; lines, wrinkles, and folds become the inevitable result. Beneath the skin, the facial muscles become increasingly contracted over years of facial expression and constant gravity, allowing the overall lift of our face to decline. Microcurrent emits subtle electrical frequencies that mimic the body’s own electrical signals, thereby increasing the amount of ATP (adenosine triphosphate, the chemical fuel of human cells) by as much as 500%. Such increased levels of ATP speed cellular metabolism. The results of these processes can be seen in improved skin tone and coloration, the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, and the firming of sagging areas of the face and body.
What other areas of the body is Sculpting effective on?
Besides the face and neck, clients also receive treatment on the stomach, legs, hands, back, arms, and buttocks with exceptional results. The buttock lift is perhaps the most popular, especially as the bikini season nears.
What is the cost?
The Sculpting Series of ten 1-hour treatments is $600. The cost is not much more than you'd pay for a personal trainer and gym membership ... plus you end up looking good where it always shows!
